Eighth meeting summary

The eighth meeting (December 9-10th, 2010)

The 9-10th December 2010, the eight meeting within the Nordic Health Promotion Research Network was held at the Nordic School of Public Health. Dr. Glenn Laverack, WHO, who has written several books on community empowerment, was invited to keep a lecture on the concept of empowerment, and also to lead the discussion on the theme afterwards. The doctoral students within the Nordic Health Promotion Research Network had a separate meeting with Dr. Laverack, with opportunities to have deepened discussions on empowerment.

On the second day of the network meeting, the working groups met in their respective groups and continued their group work.

The next workshop, the 9th, will be held on the 31 March-1 April 2011.
