Supplements

There are currently four supplements, edited by members of the NHPRN from the 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th research conferences organized by the network. The supplements are found for free from Scandinavian Journal of Public Health and Smt, Socialmedicinsk Tidskrift.

The 9th Nordic Health Promotion Research Conference: “Health: Societal responsibility or individual obligation? Addressing sustainable health promotion in theory and practice”.

The conference took place in June 2019 in Demark. The Centre for Health Promotion Research at Roskilde University, Denmark, hosted it. The conference aimed at highlighting the latest empirical and theoretical research dealing with important dilemmas of developments, primarily in the Nordic welfare states, but also in countries with different welfare structures. The 8th Nordic Health Promotion Research Conference: ”20 years of health promotion research in the Nordic countries: Health, wellbeing and physical activity”.

The conference took place in Finland in June 2016. The University of Jyväskylä was host for the conference. It focused on three scopes. The first scope was on review of the past 20 years of health promotion overall and health promotion research in particular. The second scope related to the social determinants of health and the Health in All Policies (HiAP). The third scope focused on interventions in health promotion and implementation-related research. The 7th Nordic Health Promotion Research Conference: ”Promoting health in everyday settings: opportunities and challenges”

The conference was held in June 2013 in Norway. Buskerud and Vestfold University College was host for the conference. It had particular focus on the settings approach in health promotion. The 6th Nordic Health Promotion Research Conference: ”The role of Health Promotion in the Transition of the Nordic Welfare States”

The conference was held in August 2009 in Sweden. The Nordic School of Public Health (NHV), Gothenburg, was host for the conference.
